Opening of 15th Hole – Saturday 18th July

25th June 2020

The Captain and Board have decided it would be appropriate to hold a modest golf event to mark not only the re-starting of golf after the lockdown, but also hopefully, the re-opening of the clubhouse and the opening of the re-designed 15th hole.  This will be held on Saturday 18th July.

The exact format of play has yet to be determined but it will either be singles matches or foursomes matches.  This will be partly dependent on Government guidelines.  This will also set the maximum number of participants. A draw will be made for partners.  Other details of the competition will be announced later.  Initial thoughts are for a match between a Captain’s team and a Vice Captain’s team.

The event will run from 8am in the morning until whatever time is required  to cater for the number of entrants up to the maximum.  Unfortunately a shotgun start is not possible.

Please indicate below your desire to participate and also if you have any preference for starting times.  If you are available to play at any time of the day, that would help the organisation.

Hopefully, following recent announcements from the First Minister it may indeed, be possible for players to have lunch.  This will not be a mass lunch, but participants  will be able to lunch in their groups.  The exact timing, format  and other details  have yet to be concluded upon but I am sure Mr Cleary, Mr Horsey and the other staff would be delighted to see you.

Please indicate below if you wish to have lunch.

There will be a maximum number we can have in the clubhouse at any one time. This may influence the decision re fouromes as we will have to assess whether groups of four would put excessive pressure on the Clubhouse arrangements .

The event will run from 8am.
