Re-Opening of Clubhouse & Member Guests

Following the announcements from the First Minister on 9th July 2020 we are delighted to confirm that with effect from Wednesday 15th July 2020 the Clubhouse will re-open with the guidelines

Clubhouse

  • Only those playing golf may have lunch (this can be before or after play)
  • At this time lunch is not available to members who are not playing golf.
  • Entry & Exit of the clubhouse will be clearly signed and these signs and instructions from staff MUST be obeyed at all times. 
  • A one-way system for entering and leaving the public rooms will apply.
  • Normal dress code rules will apply in the Clubhouse
  • Lunch will be served between 11.30 and 3pm each day. Access to the Smoke and Dining Rooms will be from 11am.
  • Lunch MUST be booked in advance by calling the bar no later than 10am on the day.
    • Members without a booking will not be allowed in the Smoke or Dining Rooms.
    • Lunch can be booked up to 7 days in advance.
  • There will be a maximum number allowed in the public rooms :-
    • Once bookings for a certain time of day reach that number no further bookings will be taken.
    • Members are asked not to linger over lunch to allow tables to be prepared for the next sitting at the table.
    • Members must not delay lunch waiting for other groups to come in. A strict table layout will be in force and large groups will not be possible
  • Table service will apply at all times. A member of staff will show groups to their table. All food and drink will be served to your table. These tables will be located throughout the public areas of the clubhouse. Exact details of how the table service will be operated are to be decided.
  • At no time is a member or guest allowed to approach the bar area.
  • There will be no entry to the clubhouse for members and guests who are not having lunch.
  • After 3pm members may have a drink in the public rooms, but normal dress code rules apply.  There will be no access to the Clubhouse for coffee etc. before 11am this is to allow the public rooms to be fully prepared for lunch.

The casual bar will remain closed. The outside drinks area will continue to be open from 11.00am until 7.00pm to allow members to have a drink without the requirement to put on a jacket & tie.  This service over the lunch period will be dependent on numbers having lunch and the ability of the staff to man the two areas.

Locker Rooms are not available

  • The Gentlemen’s toilets will be available.
  • Strict hygiene practices should be observed at all times and hand sanitiser will be available.
  • Paper towels will be provided.
  • Toilet areas will be cleaned regularly and access to these areas may be restricted while cleaning is in progress.
  • No payment will be taken in the public rooms. All charges will be added to member’s accounts and these can be settled by BACS or by calling the office. Accounts should be cleared by the end of each month.

Golf – guests

Normal arrangements for guest will re-start :-

    • Members may introduce up to three guests per day (only one on a Saturday)
    • A guest may only be introduced once by any member in a calendar month, unless authorised by the Secretary.
    • Normal guest fees will apply
      • 1st Guest £10
      • 2nd Guest £20
      • 3rd Guest £30
      • Charges will be added to the members account.
    • All guest names must be entered on the tee booking system

All these restrictions and conditions will be kept under review and may change at any time without notice.

Members are asked to maintain strict social distancing at all times and obey the rules and instructions from staff at ALL times.
