Clubhouse Update – Dress Code

With the relaxation of the restrictions and the arrival of the better weather it is pleasing to see the Clubhouse being busy again with members, guests and visitors enjoying near normal service in the Smoke Room and Dining Room. At this time it is not possible to have the changing rooms and showers fully open.  Therefore we feel it is still not appropriate to re-impose the normal dress code in the clubhouse so it will remain relaxed. Members’ Guests & Dress Code

Members’ Guests With effect for from Monday 17th May onwards members will be permitted to bring guests to play and have lunch.  Normal guest rules will apply – up to three guests on any day except Saturdays when only one guest may be brought.  Full names of guests must be added to the tee sheets in the normal way. As a gesture of thanks for members’ patience and cooperation during this difficult period the Club is making the following offer: – From May 24th until 30th September members may, on one occasion (except a Saturday) bring three guests to play…

Tee Time Bookings

The Board have decided that the restriction on East Lothian members booking times is no longer required.  With immediate effect all members may book tee times seven days in advance. The restrictions, however, on Guests being introduced will continue up to and including Sunday 16 May 2021.  No guests, other than wives/partners, may be introduced up to that date. Guests may be added to bookings from Monday 17 May onwards with normal guest rules applying :- Three guests on Sundays to Fridays. One guest only on a Saturday. Worldwide Handicapping System – General Play Scores

A player may complete a card counting for handicap at any course. To do a general play score the player must:- Follow the Rules of Golf :- The ball must be holed at every hole unless a score of more than a net double bogey is to be achieved. All holes must be played in the correct order.
